Current head of Aluminum Association to succeed Donna Harman, who will retire later this year

Heidi Brock will join the American Forest & Paper Association as CEO later this year, stepping down from her current role as head of The Aluminum Association to lead the $28 million-revenue group. She will succeed Donna Harman, who is retiring.

Brock joined the $8.1 million-revenue aluminum trade group in 2011 after having previously worked for the timber company Weyerhaeuser, during which she served on AF&PA committees. The Aluminum Association credits her leadership with strengthening its advocacy efforts and growing its membership to record levels. In a statement, the incoming CEO said she was thrilled about her return to the forest products industry and the chance to expand upon Harman's work.

"In addition, I look forward to working with the highly regarded team at AF&PA on its robust public policy agenda—an agenda that will clearly strengthen the manufacturing success of its member companies and the communities in which they operate," Brock said.

Harman announced in January she would leave AF&PA later this year after leading the association for 12 years. Brock will transition into her new role in mid-September. The Aluminum Association's board of directors has begun a search for Brock's successor.

Brock's take-home pay was $523,363 in 2017, according to the latest available tax records. Harman earned more than $1.7 million that same year.

Recruitment firm Spencer Stuart assisted in the search.
